  • INDONESIA STORIES

For each of the next three days I'm going to update with a story from Indonesia with each emphasizing the stronghold of fear in the country.  Later in the week I'll give an update with pictures from my trip.  The trip was very difficult but also very blessed.  The stories I will share are from a native Indonesian pastor, Pastor Tandi, an amazing man of God that traveled with my team.  He is from the island of Papua (half being the country Papua New Guinea).  We did ministry in and around his hometown for 3 days of our trip.  The island has many different tribal people spread out through the mountains and jungles, including nudist and cannibal groups.  The island is full of black magic, witchcraft, and other satanic activity.  Muslims are also attempting to convert the island and are succeeding at an alarming rate, going from less than 10% a few years ago to 60% now.  They often use fear/force to convert.  Our pastor told us that in some places Muslim extremists will come to people and if the people are Christian and do not deny Christ and worship Allah, they will cut off one of their arms... and if they still won't deny Christ, their other arm... and then a leg... and then the other leg.  They will do this to each person in the tribe/village until it is either completely converted or completely dead.  Makes you appreciate your religious freedom, doesn't it?  And so Indonesians, particularly the people of the island of Papua, are overcome with religious fear, both of the black magic and of the Muslims.  This stronghold is restricting faith and suffocating Christianity in the country.  Please pray against the stronghold of fear in Indonesia.  Stories relating to this will begin tomorrow.

Matthew 12:29 - Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man?  Then he can rob his house.
