Thanksgiving Photos...
I was able to celebrate Thanksgiving twice this year. Praise God! The first was with my church the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The church got all the turkey and fixings from the US army base and we had worship, a big meal and then a talent show. I brought two girls from my home and also my friend Kyung Mi. In this picture is (left to right) me, Kyung Mi, my friend Mi Jeong, Yun Hwa, and Kot Nim...
The following Thursday I drove five of my kids to a friend's place for a second Thanksgiving dinner. His name is Steve and he sponsors three of my kids. His wife Trudy was a soccer coach at our orphanage soccer camp last summer and she coached two of my boys, so I brought those boys as well. Steve also got his food from the army base. Its really hard to find American ingredients anywhere else.
Kids watching tv at Steve's place while waiting for the food
Trudy and Steve working in the kitchen
Steve with the kids enjoying the meal... the boys all ate quick so they could play video games =)
Sun Hee and Dong Chan watching the other kids play video games
Video games weren't that exciting for the girls but they had a great time playing with the pillow cushions of one of Steve's couches... most Koreans don't have much furniture and we don't have any at our home so this was a fun experience for them playing on the couch...
Soo Yun kept egging me on...
Soo Yun sandwich... I think Sun Hee is under there as well, who knows...
The girls would get their revenge
I got tired but the girls kept at it while the boys played
Soo Yun was loud so Min Shik attempted to quiet her
But again she would get revenge
The kids enjoyed trying on some of Steve's army stuff... Min Shik and Il Ho

Worlds collided as we were leaving when the kids saw a cute biracial (half black half white) toddler playing outside. The kids then freaked out as a huge friendly dog came out to greet them (huge dogs are not common in Korea). An American military couple then came to out to see the hub bub. English on one side, Korean on the other. American culture on one end, Korean on the other. And I was the one in the middle. Weird. The kids wanted a picture with the dog and the boy, this was the best I could do... Sun Hee, Min Shik, Soo Yun, Dong Chan, and Il Ho
More to come later... God bless!

its a beautiful sight to see JM. in all these circumstances how much joy you are showing. I was blessed and given a moment to laugh and smile from the inside out. Praise God man.
