Stronger...
Joshua 10:24-26 - "When they had brought these kings (enemies of Israel) to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had come with him, 'Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings.' So they came forward and placed their feet on their necks. Joshua said to them, 'Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.' Then Joshua struck and killed the kings and hung them on five trees, and they were left hanging on the trees until eventing."
This passage was on my heart late tonight. I know so many struggle with sin and feel they cannot overcome. But I also know that passage represents our battle with sin and Joshua represents Jesus. Its by our obedience to Jesus that He gives us strength, courage and power to overcome. And in the end, Jesus will completely do away with sin for us. I know many brothers who right now are on the ground with sin having its foot on their neck... but by God's grace I know they will receive strength as they pray and seek the Lord and soon it will be them standing strong with their foot over sin's neck. Victory isn't just meant for a few Christians, its meant for all.

when we were singing this praise song wednesday night, some of us sang it in victory. my friend, i knew that in his heart he wanted to sing and pray this song as though it were true in his life. i pray that he can conquer his flesh. but.. even still, in the midst of his struggle with sin, i know that his spirit responded to this promise. praise God =)
