Letting Go…
One of the lies that religion and Satan try and convince us is that it will take a lot of work and effort for us to even have a chance of getting over our past. Many people hide their sin believing they must live with the guilt and shame of it. And that if there is going to be healing, it must be done through lots and lots and lots of earnest prayer.
But the truth is Jesus turned to the sick and the broken and simply spoke with love and grace, “Your sins are forgiven.” Done. While Satan wants us to wallow in our guilt and shame, God wants us to simply confess and turn from the sin and receive His grace. God wants us in His arms! He wants us to let go of the things of the past. He wants us to receive and walk in the new identity He has given us.
This is a beautiful video and a beautiful song. May it bless you!
Jonathan David Helser – Fly
I close my eyes~
Everything disappears with Your smile
I raise my hands~
On a cliff I stand
Arms open wide~
You’re the Father, I’m the child
You whisper to me:
“Step off the edge–
Leave it all behind
Leave it all behind
Cut loose, cut loose this life…
Let go, let go
Way too long
I’ve settled for these lies
When so much more
has been waitin’ on the other side.
I think it’s time
we crossed this river so wide~
Leave these shores, step off the edge~
Leave it all behind,
Leave it all behind!
Cut loose, cut loose and fly
Let go, Let go,
Fly! Fly! You can fly!
Leave the ground, leave the ground, go and fly!
You were meant to fly!
Through the wind and the trees~
Through the wind,
through the wind and the trees!
……………………………
It’s just me and You~
It’s just me and You, Papa~
It’s just me and You in this place,
It’s just me and You & Your face~
I can’t hear any other voices
but Yours, but Yours.
It’s just me and You, God.
It’s just me and You, God.
What I once was
I’ll never be again
I’m becoming the dream,
the dream of God…
Eden, the Garden is right here, right now
