Basketball Tournament!
Every Tuesday night at the home I run a basketball practice for the boys. Its a way to bond with the kids, get them some good exercise, teach them teamwork, and help grow their confidence. And once a year there is the Seoul Children Homes 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. So each year in the two weeks leading up to the tournament I have extra practices during the week for my top 5 or 6 players. This means a lot more intense practices and deeper bonding time with the smaller group. I really enjoyed them. Some of the practices were hard because the boys attitudes would fluctuate and sometimes their competitiveness/anger would get the best of them, but for the most part we had a great time together. We didn’t win the tournament, but the boys did play well and have improved a ton. I have high hopes for next year. Here are some pics of us… enjoy!
